Have you noticed how difficult it is to find sites where you can download full version games that you actually want to play? I mean you can search Google, but if you dig into the top results, all they have are cheesy flash games and links where you can buy Wii games (as if you couldn’t find them on your own.)
In this post, I’m going to talk about several alternatives to buying Wii games on disc.
These alternatives are Playing Games Online, Downloading Pirated Wii ISOs, and Downloading Full Wii Games to Your Wii.
Before we get started though, if you want to know where I get my games and you’re in a hurry, you can Click Here to check it out now.
1)Playing Games Online
There are a ton of sites such as AddictingGames.com (I’m not affiliated with them) where you can play flash games online.
There are some really cool flash games out there – I used to waste time at work playing them when the boss wasn’t looking . If you’re just looking for games to play online and don’t care what they are, this is probably your easiest fix.
However, they’re not Wii games, and for the true Nintendo fan, they’re not going to satisfy your craving.
2)Downloading Pirated ISOs
This one if definitely black hat. You can check out ISOHunt or other BitTorrent type sites and usually download full version games in ISO format.
You’ll have to use a third party tool to burn the file to a CD in a bootable format. And then you’ll need to hack your Wii through either a soft or hard mod to kind of fool it into playing those games. Difficult, but doable.
There is the legality issue, though. Anytime you are downloading an ISO image from bitTorrent, odds are that it is pirated, and you have to realize that you risk getting a letter from the FCC. For this reason, I can’t really give this method my stamp of approval.
3)Downloading Games Directly Through Your Wii
I’ve gotten pretty big into this recently. It involves connecting your Wii directly to the internet and downloading wii games directly to your Wii’s hard drive.
There are a few sites out there where you can sign up for this, and most of them involve a monthly subscription fee. The great thing, though, is that most of these will give you an unlimited number of downloads.
You do have to softmod your Wii, but it’s a lot easier than hard modding, and they walk you right through it.
The one caveat that I have to give with this method is that there isn’t really a way to have a copy of your games on disc.
Do you want to download unlimited Wii games for a flat monthly price?
If the economy has you struggling to feed your Wii addiction, check out My Wii Downloads and get your fix.
Right now they’re even giving away a free Netflix for Wii subscription when you sign up. Click Here to see if it is right for you.
