So you’ve got a Wii, and you’re working on a full blown gaming addiction, right?
I hear you – I’m in the same boat! But Wii games are crazy expensive if you pay retail for them.
I’ve been checking out different Wii ISO download sites and just plain Wii games download sites all over the web, trying to separate the wheat from the chaff. There are a lot of sites out there that just don’t deliver what they promise, so between my friends and I, we’ve tried out over 25 different websites, and narrowed the best ones down to the Top 5. So here they are, in no particular order:
#1:Wii Download Hub -
My friend Ewan tried this one out for me. He said that he was impressed with the game database. They have hundreds of thousands of games available for direct download to your Wii. They also allow you to unlock your Wii so that you can play homebrew and burned/copied games without voiding your warranty. Overall, they get a 9 out of 10 score. Check it out here.
#2:My Wii Download
I evaluated this one myself. They had a ton of games, but not quite as many as Wii Download Hub. They made up for it by offering movies and music in addition to games. The downloads were blazing fast, since they have servers based all over the world. I had to email them a question at one point, and they were a little slow getting back to me, so they lost a point for that. Overall, they get an 8 out of 10 score. Check it out here.
#3:Unlimited DS Download
As their name indicates, they offer downloads for Nintendo DS only. For the most part, we talk about Wii games here, but these guys made the top 5 for the fact that they offer a lifetime subscription for a pretty reasonable one-time price, as well as for their amazing customer service. I had a little trouble at first figuring out how to work the downloads, so I called their tech support at like 11pm, and they had me downloading games after about 5 minutes. Great guys. #4:Wii Download Bay
My friend Gerree actually tested this one out. Their claim to fame is the largest game database on the web, with 250,000 games available, as well as the fact that they add games the day that they are released. Gerree said that the download time was a little slower than the other sites, but not terrible. Overall, she gives it a 9 out of 10. Check it out here.
#5: 4 Wii Downloads
The crew behind 4 Wii Downloads differentiate themselves by offering the ability to download games from older consoles like N64, SNES, NES, and Sega. So if you’re into retro gaming, this is definitely the place for you. They also offer a huge catalog of current games (in the 6 digits) and they have blazing fast downloads. This was our absolute favorite site, with an overall score of 10 out of 10. Check it out here.
