Super Heroes are all the rage right now. They’ve actually been around since the early 20th century in comic books and action figure form. In the past decade, they’ve found their way into movies and video games. And there are no signs of things slowing down. It seems that no one is getting sick of super heroes anytime soon. I just grabbed a batch of Wii iso downloads of super hero games: My stepson is all over Spider-Man 3 at the moment.

If you’re into Super Heroes, you will be totally geeked to find that there are tons of Nintendo Wii that are in this genre. The effects are sweet – they make you feel like you’re really living the game. They bring the characters to life more so than on some other game consoles that I’ve played. I sometimes lose myself in the action – it’s like actually having super powers.
So, since my stepson is all up on Spiderman 3, let’s review it briefly, shall we? It’s set in New York City, where Spiderman is rescuing damsels in distress as usual. The unique thing about this game is that you can pick either the regular Spidey suit or the black one from the movie. When you put on the black one, you’ll be stronger and faster, but just like in the movie, it has some detrimental effects, so watch out!
The game offers the option of playing out some complete story lines from the movie, as well as the option to make custom scenes of your own. This story really has some depth, as you’re not ONLY trying to save the city – you’re also trying to save Peter Parker from the “black suit.” You have to balance the power that you get from the black suit with the desire for more power that it leads to.
On the other hand, if you just want to destroy things and not worry about having an existential crisis, you may like the Incredible Hulk better. He’s still a good guy, attempting to save others, but he destroys everything wherever he goes. It’s fun and definitely a part of the game to destroy things, but the more you destroy, the more the army and the cops will be after you. In the Hulk game, the Hulk has more depth (like in the movie) than in the old TV show and the comics. A lot of people like this version of the hulk better. He’s very similar to the movie from a couple of years ago.
If you want an alternative-ish SuperHero game, check out Harvey Birdman: Attorney at Law. I’m totally serious. The game finds him solving cases that start out easy, but get harder and harder. If you’re sick of the mainstream games, you’ll probably dig Birdman.
The legacy of Super Heroes will never die. Nintendo will make sure of that. From what I hear, there are plenty of additional Super Heroes games coming down the pike. If you’re a fan of a particular super hero (or your kids are) then why just watch them on movies and read about them? You can live their adventures on the Wii – for free if you use a Wii iso download site! In my humble opinion, Nintendo has done an ace job at bringing these Super Heroes to life and honoring the tradition that came from at the same time.
